Maharashtra Labor Welfare Fund (MLWF)
The Maharashtra Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1953
- MLWF is effective from 1953.
- It is applicable to all the companies in the state that has 05 or more person employed, who are considered contract labours as per the Act.
- Includes all employee, including employee through contractor, except those working in the managerial or supervisory position and drawing wages more than Rs. 3,500/- per month
How
to Calculate:-
- For employees who earn equal or less than Rs 3000
Rs 6 (Employee Contribution) Rs 18 (Employer Contribution)
i.e. Rs 24 total Contribution.
This is excluding manager & person
working as a supervisor drawing salary above Rs.3,500/-p.m.
- For employees who earn equal or greater than Rs 3000
Rs 12 (Employee Contribution) Rs 36 (Employer Contribution)
i.e. Rs 48 total Contribution.
This is excluding manager & person
working as a supervisor drawing salary above Rs.3,500/-p.m.
Due and Payable:- Two times in a Financial year:-
- Due periodicity is 30th June and last date is 15th of July
- Due periodicity is 31st December and last date is 15th of January
